Emisshield was recently featured in Oil & Gas Middle East in an interview with Dr. John Olver, President and CEO of Emisshield, discussing how NASA-derived high-emissivity ceramic coatings are helping improve efficiency in the UAE’s oil, gas, and heavy industrial sectors.
Originally developed for extreme aerospace environments, Emisshield coatings enhance radiant heat transfer in high-temperature equipment such as fired heaters and reformers. By increasing emissivity on furnace walls and process components, more heat is directed into the process rather than lost to surrounding surfaces—allowing operators to achieve the same or higher production output while consuming less fuel.
In the interview, Dr. Olver explains how this technology is helping operators reduce fuel consumption, extend equipment life, and lower emissions, while providing a practical retrofit solution that can be implemented during routine maintenance cycles.
