How Emisshield Minimizes Coking in HPI & CPI Applications

As a pervasive problem throughout the hydrocarbon and chemical processing industries, coking reduces production efficiency by driving facility shutdowns.

These carbon buildups not only stifle process tube lifespans, but also require cumbersome disposal processes treated as hazardous waste.

To minimize coking, our High Emissivity Coatings (HECs) target one of the primary contributors: hot spots. Through improved heat transfer, our HECs allow for uniform heating inside process tubes while combatting nucleation site formations.

These improvements increase the periodicity of typical 60-day decoking cycles to 6 to 12 months. In turn, Emisshield helps keep production in motion while greatly reducing costly downtime.
