How Emisshield Measurably Reduces Fired Heater Emissions

When applied to fired heaters, our Emisshield High Emissivity Coatings (HECs) reduce air emissions by creating a complete combustion of natural gas fuel.

By correcting for banded radiation across a broad range of infrared wavelengths, these HECs turn thermally static walls into active walls. This advancement represents the first innovation in refractory radiant walls in over five decades.

We also coat burners and process tubes, reducing the formation of NOx for a potential emissions reduction of 5% to 15%. In the process, our HECs turn surfaces into thermally active composites to improve the chemical process of combustion.

In the years to come, plant emissions will remain a key focal point throughout the hydrocarbon, chemical, and power generation industries.
