Even on worn or corroded substrates, our Emisshield High Emissivity Coatings (HECs) drive substantial energy savings and reduced kiln cycle times.
By improving energy transfer and same-frequency heat re-radiation, our HECs reduce energy loss and ensure uniform heating. These improvements translate to energy savings of up to 10%.
Meanwhile, our HECs significantly cut down cycle times, achieving desired temperatures up to 25% quicker. Once our typical one-day installation process is complete, our HECs dry within 12 hours and are ready for use the very next day.
Through a joint effort with the National Brick Research Center (NBRC) at Clemson University, we have expanded our research with additional metrics in a controlled testing environment. We plan to release our study shortly with a full before-and-after comparison of the coated and uncoated kiln, so stay tuned!
